Terms of Use
The agreement for using StoreGit and storegit.com, written to be read.
You're in charge of your account
You choose the App Store Connect account, each key's role and every change StoreGit sends. You review changes before you commit them.
Apple bills and refunds Pro
StoreGit Pro is a Mac App Store subscription. Apple charges it, renews it and handles refunds.
Your data stays yours, and on your Mac
We never receive your App Store data, so we can't restore it either. Keep your Mac backed up.
No guarantees about ranks
StoreGit shows what changed and what moved after. It can't promise rankings, downloads or Apple's approval.
These terms
StoreGit is a Mac app made by Sarva Labs ("we", "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Sarva Labs about StoreGit for Mac, storegit.com and the support we provide (together, "StoreGit").
By downloading, installing or using StoreGit, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use StoreGit for a company or another organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're allowed to. If you don't agree, don't use StoreGit.
Apple's license
You get StoreGit from the Mac App Store, and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA") gives you the license to use it. These Terms add to the Standard EULA. If the two conflict about the license, the Standard EULA applies.
You acknowledge that:
- these Terms are between you and Sarva Labs, not Apple, and Apple isn't responsible for StoreGit or its content;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for StoreGit;
- if StoreGit fails to meet an applicable warranty, you can tell Apple, and Apple may refund the price you paid; to the fullest extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for StoreGit;
- Apple isn't responsible for handling claims about StoreGit, including product liability claims, claims that StoreGit doesn't meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection claims;
- if someone claims StoreGit infringes their intellectual property, Apple isn't responsible for investigating, defending, settling or discharging that claim;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
You confirm that you aren't in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you aren't on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Who can use StoreGit
StoreGit is a tool for people who manage apps on the App Store. To use it, you must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract where you live, and you must be allowed to use the App Store Connect account you connect.
Your App Store Connect account and API keys
StoreGit works only with App Store Connect API keys that you create in your own App Store Connect account. You're responsible for:
- having the right to connect the account, and to read and change the apps you connect;
- the role you give each key and the apps it can reach;
- keeping your keys secure, and revoking any key you no longer use or think was exposed;
- following the Apple agreements and guidelines that apply to your account, including the Apple Developer Program License Agreement and the App Store Review Guidelines.
StoreGit keeps your keys in your Mac's Keychain and uses them only on your Mac to talk to Apple. We never receive them.
What StoreGit changes in App Store Connect
Most of StoreGit only reads from App Store Connect. It changes your account only when you ask it to, for example when you:
- commit metadata changes, such as the name, subtitle, keywords, description, promotional text or What's New;
- upload, delete or reorder screenshots or app previews;
- create a version or add a language;
- turn on Analytics, which asks App Store Connect to start generating analytics reports for your app. Those report requests stay in your account until you remove them in App Store Connect.
StoreGit shows you what it will send before you commit. You're responsible for everything you submit, including that it's accurate, that you have the rights to it, and that it follows the law and Apple's rules. Apple may review, reject or change how your metadata appears on the App Store, and we can't control or guarantee that.
Ranks, analytics and other information
- Keyword ranks come from Apple's public App Store search at the moment StoreGit checks. Results can differ by country, device, account and time of day, so a rank in StoreGit may not match what someone else sees.
- Analytics come from reports Apple provides in App Store Connect, on Apple's schedule.
- StoreGit shows what changed and what moved after. That isn't proof that one caused the other.
We work to keep this information accurate, but we don't guarantee that it's complete, current or free of errors. StoreGit doesn't give business, legal or financial advice, and it can't promise any ranking, download, revenue or review outcome. Decisions you make with it are yours.
StoreGit Pro, subscriptions and billing
- StoreGit is free for up to two apps, with Timeline and App Info. StoreGit Pro adds the features described in the app and on this website, such as Rankings, Analytics and every app on your account.
- Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold by Apple through the Mac App Store. Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account's subscription settings.
- If a plan includes a free trial, Apple charges you when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Apple handles payments and refunds under its own terms. We can't see your payment details or issue refunds ourselves. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Prices can change. Apple tells subscribers about price increases as its rules require.
- If you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. The two apps you opened first stay available on Free.
- Features may change over time. If we plan to remove a major Pro feature, we'll aim to tell you in the app or on this website before it happens.
Acceptable use
Don't use StoreGit to:
- reach App Store Connect accounts or apps you aren't allowed to use;
- break the law, or Apple's agreements, guidelines or API terms;
- send App Store Connect or App Store search more requests than StoreGit is designed to make, or get around its limits or the Free and Pro entitlements;
- copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute StoreGit, except where the law allows it despite this restriction;
- build a competing product from StoreGit's design or content.
Your data and backups
Your App Store data stays on your Mac (see the Privacy Policy). That also makes you responsible for it. If you delete StoreGit's data, lose your Mac, or an update can't carry a database forward, we can't restore your local history from anywhere. Use Time Machine or another backup.
Updates may rebuild local data from App Store Connect. A rebuild can't bring back history that App Store Connect no longer has.
Services we don't control
StoreGit depends on services run by others: Apple (the App Store Connect API, App Store search and the Mac App Store), RevenueCat (subscription status) and TelemetryDeck (anonymous usage data). Their own terms and privacy policies apply to how they work. If one of them changes, limits or stops a service, parts of StoreGit may stop working, and we aren't responsible for that.
Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
Ownership and trademarks
StoreGit, its design, code and text, and the StoreGit name and logo belong to Sarva Labs and are protected by law. The Standard EULA and these Terms give you a limited right to use StoreGit, not ownership of it.
Apple, App Store, Mac App Store and App Store Connect are trademarks of Apple Inc. StoreGit isn't made, sponsored or endorsed by Apple.
Updates and availability
We may update StoreGit, change or remove features, or stop offering it. Some updates may be needed to keep using StoreGit or the services it relies on. We don't promise that StoreGit will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.
Disclaimer
To the fullest extent the law allows, StoreGit is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't warrant that StoreGit will meet your needs, work without interruption, keep your data safe from loss, or that Apple will accept anything you submit with it.
Some places don't allow these exclusions, so some may not apply to you. There, this disclaimer applies as far as the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- Sarva Labs, its owners and its contractors aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, rankings, downloads, goodwill or business opportunities, or for App Store rejections, account restrictions or changes you send to App Store Connect, even if we were told they were possible;
- our total liability for all claims about StoreGit is limited to the greater of what you paid for StoreGit in the 12 months before the claim, and 50 US dollars.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you'll defend and compensate Sarva Labs if someone makes a claim against us because of content you submitted through StoreGit, your breach of these Terms or of Apple's agreements, or your violation of the law or of someone else's rights.
Ending these terms
You can stop using StoreGit at any time: delete the app and its data, revoke your API keys in App Store Connect, and cancel any subscription with Apple. We may suspend or end your access to StoreGit or StoreGit Pro if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if the law requires it.
Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, the disclaimer, limits of liability, indemnity and disputes, continue after these Terms end.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as StoreGit and the law change. We'll post the new version here with a new version number and effective date, and tell you in the app or on this website when a change is significant. If you keep using StoreGit after a change takes effect, you accept it. If you don't accept it, stop using StoreGit and cancel your subscription.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law rules. The courts of Hyderabad, India have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either of us may seek urgent relief in any court. If you're a consumer, you keep the protections that the law where you live gives you and that can't be waived.
Before starting a legal claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it within 30 days.
General
These Terms, the Standard EULA and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about StoreGit. If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we don't enforce a right, we haven't waived it. You can't transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them to whoever takes over StoreGit. We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. The English version of these Terms is the one that applies.
